2. General information on data processing

As a matter of principle, we process our users’ personal data only in so far as this is necessary to provide a functioning website together with our content and services.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Server-side processing is pinned to the Frankfurt am Main region (fra1); static content such as pages, fonts and images is additionally delivered through Vercel’s content delivery network so that it can be fetched from the location nearest to the visitor.

When this website is called up, Vercel automatically collects information in what are known as server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are in particular:

• IP address
• Date and time of the request
• Browser type and version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL

3.1 Legal basis and third-country transfers in hosting

These data are not combined with other data sources. They are collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in ensuring the trouble-free and secure operation of our website.

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. As Vercel is based in the USA, data may be transferred to a third country. The data processing agreement bases these transfers on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, Module Two — controller to processor). Vercel additionally states that it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, the data you provide (your email address and, where applicable, your name) is stored by us in order to answer your enquiry. The data is deleted as soon as storage is no longer necessary, or processing is restricted where statutory retention obligations apply. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).

When you submit the contact form on this website, we process the details you enter there:

• Email address
• Message

5.1 Purpose, legal basis and delivery

We use these details solely to handle and answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as the processing serves to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

Before sending, you confirm by means of a checkbox that your details may be processed in order to handle your enquiry. The form cannot be submitted without that confirmation.

Delivery to our mailbox goes through the email service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA), with which a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Under its data processing agreement, Resend bases transfers to the USA both on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. On the server, your details are processed only for the purpose of sending that message and are not stored permanently in a database.

The data is deleted as soon as storage is no longer necessary, or processing is restricted where statutory retention obligations apply.

To protect against automated submissions, the form contains a field that is invisible to you, together with a limit on the number of enquiries per sender. For this purpose the IP address is held only transiently in the server’s memory; it is neither stored nor logged.

6. Cookies

This website sets no cookies — not even technically necessary ones. Neither local storage nor session storage nor comparable techniques are used to recognise your device.

There is no analytics, no tracking and no audience measurement. No maps, video platforms, social media buttons or ad networks are embedded; calling up this website makes no request to any third-party server.

Because no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required. For the same reason there is no cookie banner on this website. You can verify this yourself at any time: your browser’s developer tools show no entries for this domain under “Application” or “Storage”.

7. Embedded fonts

Fonts on this website are embedded locally. No connection is made to servers operated by Google or any other third-party provider.
